While most of us think of food when prepping for survival, water is the most important thing for our survival, and having emergency water bags in my preps is something I’m glad that I’ve done. These emergency water bags are my last line of defense without question. I will not be living on these, but will have these as a last resort after all other options for hydration are exhausted. You can survive for approximately 3 weeks without any food. Maybe even longer if the right conditions are met as there are stories I’ve heard of people doing fasts that lasted longer than that. When it comes to water though, you only have about 3 days.
One of the most benign and first side effects of dehydration is headaches. It also causes fatigue and dizziness in its early stages. As things progress, muscle cramps and a rapid heart beat persist as well as extreme thirst. When things reach a critical stage, seizures and numerous organ failures are a threat. Dehydration is something that needs to be taken very seriously, and your water preps literally save you from this huge vulnerability.
These emergency water bags are just that, great for emergencies:
Why Emergency Water Bags Are A Worthwhile Prep
In an urban or suburban prepping environment, you probably have to take your preparation for water more seriously than food. Unless if there is a pond nearby or if you are doing rainwater collection, there will be a real need for having your water situation attended to. Having a means to filter your water, like with reverse osmosis or distillation can make a big difference. If you have a way to filter your water, you could fill countless plastic milk or water gallon containers with tap water, and use these containers to refill when you are harvesting water in other ways like from a pond.

What happens when there is no “other ways” to procure water though and your water source runs dry? This will be the unfortunate reality for many when the SHTF. Maybe the government will do their best and drop off plastic water bottles in the beginning, but then they might run out. There are all kinds of potential hazards when it comes to water sustainability. These emergency water bags are a real ace in the hole when we are in the end stages of survival and water is so crucial.
The Need For Making Water Preps Your Top Priority
It is worrisome that in the minority of people like us who are prepping to survive, only a minority of those people are putting water first. They worry most about starvation, or maybe the defense of their home, but often pay little mind to hydration and the avoidance of dehydration. For so many people, their state of hydration will be in crisis mode when things suddenly pop off. The horrors surrounding this one aspect of survival make for very unpleasant thoughts.
This product could make all the difference when it comes to survival. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I think the time frame you will have to weather the storm will be measured in weeks, or in the worst case scenario months. Sadly, some people will come close, but won’t make it. Some of those people will die of dehydration related issues too. For those who are totally unprepared these emergency water bags could have made all the difference. The same could also potentially hold true for those of us who are prepared.
