Disposable Compressed Towels

I think that disposable compressed towels are a must have for every person that’s into prepping. When we go through temporary transformational change in how we live, aka when the STHF, so many of our conveniences we don’t even think about will be gone. One of those is the use of towels. Sure you will hopefully have some clean towels in a bathroom closet, and those will get you by for a few days. After that, you are kind of up the creek as they say.

There is a great solution though. Disposable compressed towels. You can stock up on a whole bunch of them too. This is another item that fascinates me with how compressed it is and how small of a package it fits into. These are a great item for your bug out bag, actually a must have item in your bug out bag if you ask me. It has the trifecta of bug out bag qualities — reasonably priced, compact and doesn’t take up much space, and weighs next to nothing. The thing is, these are just as valuable to you if you’re weathering the storm from home as they are if you’re bugging out. It would be better to have an abundance of these disposable towels wherever you are.

Why You Need Disposable Compressed Towels

Even if you have done a great job making preparations with water supplies, you won’t know how long you will have to survive for, and you won’t want to use your precious water resources to wash towels. You might have stackable water containers or a big drum outside that you’ve been collecting rainwater in. You would much rather bathe with it than wash towels, and that’s after you consider how much you’ll need to drink to stay hydrated.

There are also numerous other uses for clean towels that might come about. What if you suffered an injury or cut yourself, and you needed a way to wrap the wound. You might have gauze in your first aid kit and need to wrap and dress the wound after that. Having something totally sterile that you just removed from a package sounds about ideal to me. This is just one example out of many pertaining to why you need to make towels part of your prepping strategy.

The Truth About Towels In A Grid Down Scenario

The truth is, this is yet another aspect of our lives that people take for granted, and will struggle with when they have to go without. It might pale in comparison to food or drinkable water, or a way to defend their home if such a terrible situation arises, but not having a clean towel to use just might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for some. When your adrenaline and cortisol are through the roof, and everything is hard and going against you, well let’s just say some people will snap. Not being a prepper in these times of turmoil will certainly test others sanity.

Your need for towels will be constant, and the time you spend surviving a calamity  could range from weeks to a couple months. You might be able to use the same towel a couple times, but beyond that and it’s very unpleasant. Having an abundance of these is really the answer, and I plan on having some of these left over after we’ve weathered the storm. I’ll make use of them! After the basics, I view this item as one of the more important items for me to stock up on. Disposable compressed towels are really the answer in times of survival.
