The need for potable drinkable water is an absolute necessity during a grid down situation, and a gravity fed water filtration system is one of the best measures you can take to ensure that the drinking water situation is covered. It wouldn’t fit so great in your bug out bag, but since water is so important you might consider wrapping it in a few garbage bags and carrying it in one of your spare hands as your bag is over your back.
