Choosing A Sword For Your Arsenal

When chaos strikes and the masses transform from non threatening to a threat to you and your survival, weapons are needed, and none make a statement quite like a sword. If you have someone pull a gun on you and someone pull a sword on you, both are equally terrifying from my perspective. Both have the capacity to end a life. Both are very physically intimidating.

What kind of sword do you purchase though? You definitely have options. You could either go with something really basic, or you could get something more specialized like a Japanese Samurai sword. In our opinion, this only matters if you have a real interest in collecting swords. Most people reading this don’t, and in that case just about every sword you could brandish will make just about the same statement.

Once you have your sword in your possession, you have to handle it with the utmost of care. Practice holding it, practice jousting techniques, and basically familiarize yourself with your sword so that it looks like you know what you are doing if you want to use it to make a statement. If you don’t, a crazy and desperate person might attempt to take it away from you and turn the tables on the situation. Unless if you have a gun in your waistband, you cannot let that happen. Having said firearm might not even help you if someone is able to successfully snatch your sword out of your hands. That would put them in a position of power and they would have the capacity to act first if you reach for your firearm. If you have logged some practice with your sword this shouldn’t be an issue for you. You should also give yourself about 6 feet of space between you and the potential intruder you are brandishing the weapon on.
