Emergency Tent

The thought of bugging out is intimidating, but doing so without any type of shelter is even more intimidating, which makes this emergency tent such a great addition to your preps. I know what you’re thinking. “I can’t fit a tent in my bug out bag!”. That’s a good observation, but wait until you see how compact this emergency tent is in its case.

A survival tent will protect you from the elements. It won’t do a whole lot as far as the temperature goes, but it will block any wind and keep you dry from rain or snow. Having a tent and a sleeping bag or emergency blanket will make all the difference when you are surviving in the wilderness or outdoors in general. When you think about the alternative, having a tent becomes a no brainer.

Hopefully you have strategically selected more than one bug out location that you can seek refuge in if you have to get up and go.  These locations should be in the midst of trees and nature, and in a location that you feel safe and secure in. You should be somewhere secluded, where hordes of the desperate masses won’t see you or detect your presence. Somewhere that you can set up camp and have your tent and a campfire to stay warm at night.

If you have selected your bug out location well, you could potentially stash a tent away at your site. This comes with risk though. Someone might find and take your tent. There’s also the possibility that someone will find it and know that you will be there if things take a turn for the worse. Having this emergency tent, which can collapse into a small pouch that will fit nicely in your bug out bag is a better decision in my humble opinion.
