While most of us think of food and food is important, water is the most important thing for our survival, and having emergency water bags in my preps is something I’m glad that I’ve done. These emergency water bags are my last line of defense without question. I will not be living on these, but will have these as a last resort after all other options for hydration are exhausted. You can survive for approximately 3 weeks without any food, maybe even longer if the right conditions are met as there are stories I’ve heard of people doing fasts that lasted longer than that. When it comes to water though, you only have about 3 days.
In an urban or suburban environment, you probably have to take your preparation for water more seriously than food. Unless if there is a pond nearby or if you are doing rainwater collection, there will be a real need for having your water situation attended to. Having a means to filter your water, like with reverse osmosis or distillation can make a big difference. If you have a way to filter your water, you could fill countless plastic milk or water gallon containers with tap water, and use these containers to refill when you are harvesting water in other ways like from a pond.
What happens when there is no “other ways” to procure water though and your water source runs dry?
This product could make all the difference when it comes to survival. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I think your time you will have to weather the storm will be measured in weeks, or in the worst case scenario months. Sadly, some people will come close, but won’t make it. Some of those people will die of dehydration too. For those who are totally unprepared these emergency water bags could have made all the difference. The same could also potentially hold true for those of us who are prepared.
