Prepping in the city and on the cul de sac

Things To Do First

You’ve come to realize that things are volatile and that you need to start prepping, but you don’t know where to start. This is a common reaction when someone comes to the realization that they need to prepare for a potentially catastrophic situation. No worries friends. We have a good place to start for you and it’s all spelled out in this blog post.

People are preparing for a wide variety of reasons. Some are laughable, like Kim Jong Un (insert here), and some are very plausible like an extended grid down scenario. Some people fear an economic collapse and some people instead fear an even worse pandemic than what we suffered through from 2020-2022. By suffering I primarily mean being locked down and being forced to wear a face diaper, but I digress.

As I mentioned in a previous post, prepping is one of those rare things in which you can be very wrong and still come out a big winner. I personally don’t think there will be an economic collapse. If you were prepping for one though and Kim Jong Un’s missile (insert joke here), you would sure be glad you were prepping for that economic collapse!

A Good Place To Start

Obviously, you are going to need food. What kind of food though? First, it is important to realize that while you want to eat as good as possible during this very volatile time, your favorite meals are probably not something you can rely on. Survival typically doesn’t involve a fancy beef stew simmering on the stove top all day or a comforting lasagna. Survival food is just that. Food to help you survive.

When obtaining food to add to your supplies, there are a couple main things to consider.
